The Temple-Tifereth Israel is located on approximately 20 acres, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Richmond Road and South Woodland Road in the City of Beachwood, Cuyahoga County.

The scope of the project includes construction of a new chapel, entry, and preschool wing, as well as renovation of current religious, administrative, and education spaces.

The building area to be renovated totals 55,036 square feet. Proposed building area totals 19,468 square feet of additional area. The proposed building improvements feature a domed chapel complete with historic stained-glass windows.

The facility includes two entrance drives with multiple parking areas totaling 186 parking spaces. Drive and parking locations were reimagined to accommodate building expansion, including access compatibility with existing facilities and reconstruction and design of the majority of the parking facilities. Safety was a primary concern of the driving facilities given the demographics of the congregation, and speed bumps were designed and installed for added pedestrian security.

Utility work included retrofit of existing storm and sanitary services, supplemented with abandonment, removal, and installation of new facilities where needed. Stormwater design included two strip bioretention areas located in landscape beds within parking areas. These areas provide landscape features while fulfilling state and municipal water quality requirements.
