The Central Ohio Technical Manager will be responsible for not only growing CVE’s geographic footprint, but also leading a dedicated team of professionals to acquire new clients. The mission is to cultivate CVE’s presence in Columbus and create a thriving office that mirrors the excellence CVE is known for in Northeast Ohio. Leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of CVE, and the Central Ohio Technical Manager will be the driving force behind CVE’s strategic growth to define and execute plans to expand its influence in the Columbus market. The Technical Manager’s vision will guide CVE as it seeks fresh opportunities and forges lasting client relationships. The Civil Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks and work alongside experienced engineers in the execution of the design, plan development, and inspection of a variety of infrastructure projects. The Intern will also be responsible to assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with design and administrative tasks and accompany the field crew with survey and inspection related tasks.

The Construction Inspector will provide construction oversight for individual projects. Project types include public improvements focused on roadways, sewers, drainage, and water distribution.

This Environmental Department Manager will be the team lead to coordinate the environmental staff within our Cleveland Office and coordinate with engineering staff complete environmental permitting and planning for private, public and utility agencies across Ohio.

The Municipal Entry Level Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including various municipal engineering projects like drainage and stormwater studies, analysis and design, roadway design, and waterline improvements. The Engineer will also work alongside other Junior Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers in the execution of design and plan production work.

The Municipal Project Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including preliminary and detailed roadway design, sanitary sewer studies and design, water main design, stormwater and drainage studies and design, and various other municipal engineering projects. The Project Engineer will also work alongside other Senior Engineers and will be responsible for mentoring less experienced Design Engineers. The new hire will have the opportunity for career growth into either a Municipal Project Manager or direct City Engineer position.

The Municipal Project Manager will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including preliminary and detailed roadway design, sanitary sewer studies and design, water main design, stormwater and drainage studies and design, and various other municipal engineering projects. The Project Manager will also work alongside other Senior Engineers and will be responsible for mentoring less experienced Engineers. The new hire will also directly interface with municipal clients, including positions such as Service Director, Finance Director, Building Commissioner and elected officials.  The new hire should have the willingness to take on title of City Engineer for a municipal client.

The Professional Surveyor will have the opportunity to work on a variety of office tasks including boundary surveys, dedication plats, easements, legal descriptions, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, review and resolution of boundary lines, centerlines and R/W lines. The Surveyor will also work alongside Survey Crews and Engineers in the scheduling and execution of field and office work and collaboration on deliverables. The Surveyor will have the opportunity for career growth into client, task, and project management roles, as well as advance a technical career path.

The Survey Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of field tasks and work alongside experienced engineers and surveyors to support the development of municipal, transportation, and surveying designs and deliverables as well as office tasks including the creation of boundary surveys, dedication plats, easements, R/W plans, and legal descriptions.

The Water Resources Engineer will perform site evaluations, planning, modeling, data analysis, and engineering design for a wide-range of stormwater, wastewater, and water system projects. Work requires application of standard engineering techniques and procedures and professional judgement to execute complex design solutions independently or under the guidance of experienced engineers, depending on the task. The candidate will also provide technical guidance and direction to engineers, designers, and technicians assigned to projects.

The Wetland Scientist will work alongside a group of skilled professionals within our Cleveland Office to perform field investigations and prepare reports for environmental permitting for private clients and public agencies across Ohio.
