The Central Ohio Technical Manager will be responsible for not only growing CVE’s geographic footprint, but also leading a dedicated team of professionals to acquire new clients. The mission is to cultivate CVE’s presence in Columbus and create a thriving office that mirrors the excellence CVE is known for in Northeast Ohio. Leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of CVE, and the Central Ohio Technical Manager will be the driving force behind CVE’s strategic growth to define and execute plans to expand its influence in the Columbus market. The Civil Engineering Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks and work alongside experienced engineers in the execution of the design, plan development, and inspection of a variety of infrastructure projects. The Intern will also be responsible to assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with design and administrative tasks and accompany the field crew with survey and inspection related tasks.

The CAD Designer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks and work alongside experienced engineers and surveyors in the execution of the development of construction documents for a variety of infrastructure projects. The CAD Designer will also be responsible to assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with the technical tasks associated with the download of field data and the creation of basemapping to serve as the basis of design plans.

The Entry Level Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including various municipal engineering projects like drainage and stormwater studies, analysis and design, roadway design, and waterline improvements. The Engineer will also work alongside other Junior Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers in the execution of design and plan production work.

The Entry Level Surveyor will have the opportunity to work on a variety of field tasks to support the development of municipal, transportation, and surveying designs and deliverables as well as office tasks including creation of boundary surveys, dedication plats, easements, R/W plans, and legal descriptions. The Surveyor will also work alongside a Survey Crew Chief and Office Surveyors and Engineers to perform a wide-range of survey tasks focused on in the documentation of topographic, utility, and property information as well as document preparation.

This Environmental Department Manager will be the team lead to coordinate the environmental staff within our Cleveland Office and coordinate with engineering staff complete environmental permitting and planning for private, public and utility agencies across Ohio.

The GIS technician will compile data from remote sensing devices and cartographic or global positioning system maps, and enter it into GIS databases. This person will work with the GIS team and assist other engineers throughout CVE.

The Municipal Project Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including preliminary and detailed roadway design, sanitary sewer studies and design, water main design, stormwater and drainage studies and design, and various other municipal engineering projects. The Project Engineer will also work alongside other Senior Engineers and will be responsible for mentoring less experienced Design Engineers. The new hire will have the opportunity for career growth into either task and project management roles or an advanced technical career path.

The Senior Water Resources Engineer will work in a project team environment with other engineers involved in executing water resources deliverables in support of the design, modification, and improvements of water resources systems including stormwater, water mains, and sanitary projects.

The Survey Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of field tasks and work alongside experienced engineers and surveyors to support the development of municipal, transportation, and surveying designs and deliverables as well as office tasks including the creation of boundary surveys, dedication plats, easements, R/W plans, and legal descriptions.

The Surveyor will have the opportunity to work on a variety of office tasks including boundary surveys, dedication plats, easements and legal descriptions, development, review and resolution of boundary, centerline, and R/W line determinations. The Surveyor will also work alongside Survey Crews and Engineers in the scheduling and execution of field and office work and collaboration on deliverables. The Surveyor will have opportunity for career growth into client, task, and project management roles, as well as advance a technical career path.

The Water Resources Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including site evaluations, planning, modeling, data analysis, and engineering design for a wide range of stormwater, wastewater, and water system projects. Work requires familiarity with basic engineering and wastewater resources terminology and concepts relative to stormwater and wastewater, including principals of hydrology and hydraulics as it applies to drainage studies, gravity sewer design, pumping systems, and force mains to properly collect and transfer stormwater and wastewater through various collection, storage, and treatment systems. The Water Resources Engineer will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and be responsible for mentoring less experienced Design Engineers.
