CAD Designer
CVE seeks a highly motivated Civil CAD Designer to join our diverse team of professionals.
The CAD Designer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks and work alongside experienced engineers and surveyors in the development of construction documents for a variety of infrastructure projects. The Designer will also be responsible in assisting Project Engineers and Project Managers with the technical tasks associated with the download of field data and the creation of basemapping to serve as the basis of design plans.
Requested Degree/Certifications/Skills
Associate degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering field.
Minimum of five (5) years of CAD Design experience.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads Designer to create existing conditions maps.
Special interest in municipal or transportation engineering.

Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Local candidates preferred, no relocation assistance provided.
Job Responsibilities
Utilize software to produce 3D mapping of existing conditions.
Perform field work including field checking of topographic and utility surveys to confirm mapping accuracy.
Learn proficiency in operation of computer-aided drafting and design input station; assignments of increasing difficulty will be submitted as proficiency increases.
Understand and follow the company's (and ODOT’s) standard CAD procedures for levels, line styles, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
Work flexibly with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area that will allow access to project information to other team members.
