Entry Level Engineer

CVE seeks a highly motivated full-time Entry Level Engineer to join our diverse team of professionals.

The Entry Level Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project tasks including various municipal engineering projects like drainage and stormwater studies, analysis and design, roadway design, and waterline improvements. The Engineer will also work alongside other Junior Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers in the execution of design and plan production work.

Requested Degree/Certifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.

  • State of Ohio Engineering Intern credential and 0-2 years of experience in Civil Engineering.

  • Interest in public works improvement projects.

  • Experience with or interest in learning various types of design software including AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, etc.

  • Ability to work independently and on a project team.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills required.

  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with other team members.

  • Complete work on time and within budget.

  • Be energetic, self-directed, and success-focused.

  • Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare design details, calculations, plans, and drawings for municipal design projects.

  • Prepare technical specifications and cost estimates to support designs.

  • Prepare written documents and technical memos/emails summarizing project details.

  • Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.

  • Can multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.

  • Assist team members in plan production activities.
